Level 4: Finale
Short, loud and almost entirely scripted. The last level is one long climb with the Hybrid behind you, and it ends with the only thing the game has been building toward since the lobby.

What this level is
The finale is the shortest level and the most linear. There are no keypads, no collectible detours worth risking, and no branching routes. What it does have is the Hybrid — the creature the marketing has been teasing since the first trailer — and a climb that uses every move the game has taught you.

The last climb
The level opens in a collapsed section of the underground works. The route is vertical and one-way: up, across, up again.
Take the first shaft slowly
Nothing is chasing you yet. This is the last quiet minute in the game; use it to top up your sense of the controls rather than sprinting.Chain the wall runs
The climb is built from wall-run gaps. Each one flows into the next, so committing early is safer than hesitating at the edge.Do not stop on the landings
The landings are checkpoints, but they are also where the camera does something dramatic. Keep moving until the screen settles.
Facing the Hybrid
The confrontation is not a boss fight. There is no health bar, no stagger, no opening to exploit. It is a chase with a stage around it, and the only mechanic is keeping your momentum while the game takes away your options one at a time.
- It cuts corners. Unlike the Brontosaurus, the Hybrid takes the shortest line. Do not assume a wide arc buys you distance.
- It appears behind you. The level closes doors behind you specifically so that it can open them again.
- Keep your hands off the look-back. Every second you spend checking where it is, is a second you are not crossing the gap in front of you.
The crew lift
The last sequence puts you and Dalton Jr. on a rising lift with the Hybrid climbing after you. It is fully scripted: you do not need to aim, fight or time anything beyond the final prompt.
When the prompt appears, take it. This is the moment the game has been saving its one act of violence for, and it lands because Jordan has spent six hours running instead.
The achievement Finally unlocks when the level ends, and New Game Plus becomes available from the main menu.
The ending, explained
The ending is deliberately quiet. There is no sequel hook and no twist reveal — the game resolves the two things it promised to resolve and lets you walk out.
Full spoiler · what happens and what it means
Jordan gets Dalton Jr. out. Dalton himself does not make it; his tapes have already told you that he knew he would not. The attraction is sealed, the cavern entrances are closed, and the tar underneath Dalton's Dinos is left where it was found — not destroyed, contained.
The point is not that the monsters are dead. Two of the three are simply gone, and the Hybrid falls rather than being killed in a way you can verify. The point is that the thing which made them was never a creature at all. It was a business decision, repeated across two generations: Project Pilgrim in the 1950s, Dalton's Dinos in the 1990s, both convinced the substance was an asset.
Dalton's arc is the emotional resolution. He starts as a showman who loves his own voice and ends as a father who goes underground anyway. The game does not forgive him, and it does not need to — it just lets him be right about one thing at the end.
After the credits
New Game Plus unlocks with four modifiers: body-cam, slippery surfaces, die if you stop moving, and low gravity. Each one is tied to collecting amber — one modifier per four pieces — so a completion run and a NG+ run are the same run if you plan them together.
Low gravity is the interesting one. It lets you break sequence in ways the designers clearly anticipated, and it is the closest the game gets to a sandbox. If you enjoyed the movement more than the horror, start there.
