Terrible Lizards characters
Six people, five mascots, and one voice on the other end of a headset. This is who everyone is, what they want, and who actually turned up to voice them.

The main cast
Terrible Lizards keeps its cast small on purpose. You spend most of the game alone, and the characters arrive through tapes, radios and notes rather than cutscenes. That makes the handful of people who do talk to you matter more than they would in a game with a full supporting ensemble.
Jordan
Kellen GoffThe player character
A college student driving home to see family when his car gives out on Route 66. He is not a soldier, not a scientist, and not brave in the way horror games usually demand.
Most of Jordan's characterisation comes from the phone calls and his own running commentary. He complains, he overshares, and he keeps talking to Stella because the alternative is silence. The game uses his ordinary-ness on purpose: every climb and slide is something an untrained person would attempt out of panic.
Stella Banks
Amanda HuffordThe voice on the other end
A paleontologist and friend of the Coolidge family who talks Jordan through the attraction over a headset. She is the player's only ally and the reason half the codes get solved.
Stella is not a tutorial voice with a name attached. She knew Dalton before the attraction swallowed him, and her instructions carry the guilt of someone who did not intervene sooner. She hands over several keypad codes directly, which makes her the closest thing the game has to a difficulty dial.
Dalton Coolidge
Christian AmesFounder of Dalton's Dinos
A paleontologist who turned a dig site into a roadside attraction, then turned the attraction into a brand. His video tapes are the spine of the story.
Dalton is the archetype the game is really about: a scientist who is also a showman, and who genuinely believes the second job serves the first. The tapes move from infectious enthusiasm to something much smaller and more frightened. He is not a villain, which is what makes the ending land.
Elena Coolidge
Katy BentzCo-founder, Dalton's wife
A paleontologist in her own right, and the person who sees the attraction for what it is costing her family.
Elena's audio logs are the coldest documents in the game. She is not frightened of the dinosaurs, she is exhausted by her husband, and the game trusts you to notice that the two problems are the same problem wearing different clothes.
Dalton Jr. (“DJ”)
Sydney OsmonThe missing child
Dalton's son, sent to the attraction so his father could spend time with him. He talks constantly about an imaginary friend called Raptor Boy.
Junior is the reason the phone in the lobby is ringing. His “imaginary friend” is the plot's central joke and its central horror: an adult who dismisses a child's friend is exactly the adult who lets the monster in.
Dr. Jonathan Fellows
Matthew “MatPat” PatrickProject Pilgrim scientist
A researcher from the 1950s military project that found the substance under the site first, decades before Dalton did.
Fellows appears in found footage, and he is the one who explains what the tar actually is. Casting a well-known theorist as the man delivering the lore dump is the game winking at its own fanbase.
Darrel
John GelardiAttraction staff
One of the Dalton's Dinos employees whose notes and recordings fill in the ordinary working life of the attraction.
The supporting cast exists mostly through audio logs and notes. Darrel is the clearest example of a staff member who knew something was wrong and had no authority to do anything about it.
Voice cast list
The game leans heavily on internet-native voice talent — the roster reads like a music-YouTube crossover, which makes sense given WDR Studios grew out of JT Music.

The Paleo Pals
The attraction had five mascots, each a costumed dinosaur with a personality and a talk box. They exist in the game as both set dressing and — for one of them — something considerably worse.
Benji
BrontosaurusVoiced by Christian Ames
The friendly giant of the lineup, and the suit that goes missing from the storage room.
Alistair
AllosaurusVoiced by Russell “Rockit” McKamey
The know-it-all explorer. His talk box is the one that explains dinosaurs ate plants and meat.
Stephanie
StegosaurusVoiced by Cami “Cami-Cat” Felix
The gentle scientist of the group, and the least unsettling of the four suits.
Dennis
DilophosaurusVoiced by CG5
The troublemaker. Also the reason half the internet searched this game's name in the first place.
Pterry
PterodactylVoiced by The Stupendium
The exposition mascot, added partway through production. He handles the museum's narration.
All five have talk boxes in the attraction. Pressing every one is the Paleo Pal Review achievement, and it is one of the easiest misc achievements to miss simply because they look like scenery.
Supporting voices
Beyond the main cast, the game is full of small credited roles — staff members on tapes, campfire voices, Project Pilgrim soldiers, and a particularly memorable turn from a well-known game theorist as the scientist who explains the tar.
- Dr. Jonathan Fellows — the Project Pilgrim researcher in the found footage. Voiced by Matthew “MatPat” Patrick.
- Darrel — one of the attraction's staff, heard across several notes and recordings.
- Commander Ridgewater, The Broker and the rest of the Project Pilgrim cast appear almost entirely through audio.
Who is related to who
- The Coolidges
- Dalton and Elena are married; Dalton Jr. is their son
- Stella
- Long-time friend and colleague of Dalton, not family
- Jordan
- A stranger. He has no prior connection to anyone
- Dennis
- Officially a mascot. Unofficially, Dalton Jr.'s friend
The family structure is the whole story. Dalton built an attraction, Elena left for New York, and Junior was sent to the attraction so his father could spend time with him. Everything that happens afterwards is a consequence of that arrangement.
